Leela creates work examining her environment and experiences through a combination of direct observation, intuition, and memory. Using layers, patterns, and elements of nature, she explores the creative process and the meeting places found between the abstract and representational in art making.
Leela received her BFA in Visual Arts and Art History from the University of Victoria in 2007 and currently works out of her home studio in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
